About the Role
The Senior Program Lead (Substations) will see you responsible for planning and controlling the Substations package within the Hunter Transmission Project, including overseeing contractor programs, managing scope of works, and coordinating key program interfaces.
Reporting to the Project Planning Manager, the role works closely with Delivery, Commercial and Project Controls teams to provide accurate progress reporting, schedule and commercial controls, and support informed decision-making.
Note, this position can be based in either Newcastle or Sydney.
About You
- Substantial experience in project planning on major infrastructure projects, with solid programme administration and project controls knowledge.
- Strong experience in power or utilities construction, with electrical substations or transmission line construction experience highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory) and strong working knowledge of schedule and risk analysis tools (e.g. Acumen Fuse, Safran Risk or equivalent).
- Extensive experience in Earned Value Management and performance analysis techniques.
- Experience supporting claims and dispute resolution under major contract forms (e.g. FIDIC, NEC, GC21 or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
