Grid Connections Coordinator
Are you passionate about power systems and excited by the challenge of bringing major energy projects to life? This is an opportunity to play a key role in the transition to a cleaner, smarter, and more resilient energy network.
As a Grid Connections Coordinator, you'll be at the centre of complex and meaningful projects, supporting the successful connection of new generation, storage, and energy infrastructure to the grid. Working alongside experienced Grid Connection Managers, engineers, customers, and industry stakeholders, you'll help turn ambitious energy projects into operational assets that power communities and drive the energy transition.
Why this role matters
Every new renewable energy project, battery system, and critical infrastructure connection relies on effective coordination to navigate the connection process. Your work will help ensure projects move efficiently from application through to commissioning and energisation, enabling the infrastructure that will support Australia's energy future.
As part of the Connection Services team, you will:
- Coordinate grid connection activities across the full connection lifecycle
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and critical dependencies
- Support the preparation and review of connection applications and Generator Performance Standard (GPS) submissions
- Facilitate communication between customers, consultants, engineers, and key stakeholders
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, and technical discussions, ensuring actions and decisions are effectively documented
- Ensure project information and documentation are accurately maintained across Salesforce and project management platforms
We're looking for someone who combines technical understanding with exceptional organisation and communication skills.
You will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering
- A strong technical foundation in power systems engineering
- An understanding of power system modelling principles, including tools such as PSCAD and PSSE
- Familiarity with the National Electricity Rules (NER), AEMO processes, and grid connection requirements
- Exposure to project coordination, infrastructure, energy, or technical environments (desirable)
This is more than a coordination role—it's an opportunity to contribute to projects that will shape the future of the energy industry. If you're motivated by collaboration, technical challenges, and making a tangible impact, we'd love to hear from you.
