The Opportunity
 

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on demand energy and large scale storage for many generations to come.

 

We are seeking an experienced Asset Management Interface Engineer for HumeLink to be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the interface between the HumeLink project and Transgrid’s asset management team.

 

The role ensures that design and engineering work aligns with asset management standards and requirements and manages the approval process for deviations. The role supports design and engineering activities across transmission lines and substations during the construction phase.

 

The Asset Management Interface Engineer must demonstrate strong business acumen, technical expertise, and adaptability to address the dynamic challenges of large-scale infrastructure projects.

 

Reporting to the Construction Phase Service Manager, the role involves supporting and guiding team members to achieve seamless integration with TransGrid’s asset management practices.

 

About You

 

  • Degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, or related discipline).
  • Proven experience working on high-voltage infrastructure projects, specifically in design, construction, or asset management.
  • Experience interfacing with asset management teams or working within a regulated utility environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management and familiarity with ISO55001 asset management systems.
  • Proficient in risk assessment, compliance management, and handling design deviations.
  • Ability to review and interpret complex technical specifications, standards, and design documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate workshops and meetings, resolving interface issues collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, ensuring timely delivery of project requirements.
  • Commitment to upholding safety and environmental standards, with a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and regulatory requirements governing high-voltage infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, risk assessment, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to review and interpret technical specifications and standards.
