This is nationally significant infrastructure that will support regional communities and Australia’s energy transition for decades to come.
About the Role
We are seeking 2 x Site Managers to support construction delivery of the 500kV transmission line on the HumeLink project. Reporting to the Construction Manager and based at Transgrid’s Wagga Wagga transmission substation and project sites across the region, you will oversee contractor performance, ensure works are delivered safely and in accordance with specifications, and maintain compliance with WHS, environmental and contractual requirements. This position requires 10-hour days commencing at 6am and working every second weekend, with overtime rates applying.
About You
- Experience in construction, testing and commissioning of high voltage transmission or major infrastructure assets
- Proven capability in contractor management and site coordination
- Strong working knowledge of WHS and environmental legislation
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and quality requirements
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Certificate III in ESI Transmission Overhead (or equivalent); OR
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Project Management (or equivalent); OR
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Civil), Project Management (or equivalent)
- Authorised under Transgrid’s Safety Rules (including field access authority), or willingness to obtain
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence
- Willingness to work across project sites and travel as required.
