The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for you to join as a Senior Site Manager to facilitate the site management of construction works for Transgrid’s high voltage transmission lines and substations.
You will ensure project delivery is in compliance with associated contract specifications, Transgrid policies and meets all stakeholder expectations, whilst ensuring that all work is carried out in full compliance with associated Health, Safety and Environmental Management Plans.
In addition to managing substation & transmission line construction works, co-ordinating multiple related tasks associated with High Voltage activities, you will also operate in compliance with the requirements of the EPC Contract.
About You
- Appropriate qualification in either Civil, Construction, Engineering or Project Management ideally with an associated Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience in construction or supervision of major infrastructure
- Knowledge in the application of WHS and environmental legislation
- Hold or willingness to acquire the Certificate IV in WHS
- Knowledge of corporate drawings, design and management systems
- Sound interpersonal skills (including written and oral communication), which will facilitate the achievement of project objectives
- Knowledge and understanding of all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
- Good computer skills and knowledge of computer packages such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Cloud based project related systems
- NSW Driver’s Licence
- Willingness to assist with implementation of organisational change
- This position may require times of substantial time away from the base location, dependant on the work demands of the organisation
