Senior Health and Safety Advisor - Major Projects

HumeLink is one of Australia’s most significant transmission projects, delivering critical infrastructure to connect renewable energy generation with homes and businesses across New South Wales. Spanning multiple regions, the project plays a key role in advancing the clean energy transition while supporting local communities and creating lasting social and economic benefits.

As a Senior Health and Safety Advisor – Major Projects, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the safe and successful delivery of the HumeLink project. Working closely with the H&S Manager and embedded within the project team, you’ll lead safety initiatives, provide expert advice, and foster a strong, proactive safety culture across Transgrid and its delivery partners. This is a site-based position requiring regular engagement with multiple project locations and stakeholders to ensure best-practice health and safety outcomes.

The position can be based in Goulburn, Yass, or Wagga Wagga.

About You

• Demonstrated experience in health and safety within major infrastructure, construction, or transmission projects
• Experience of working as a Client representative on an Active Client project or similar is highly desirable.
• Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, codes of practice, and risk management frameworks
• Ability to influence, coach, and build trust across multidisciplinary project teams and delivery partners
• Proven skills in incident investigation, auditing, and continuous improvement of safety systems
• Commitment to embedding a positive safety culture and ensuring every person goes home safe, every day.
