About the Role

 

As the Delivery Substations & Commissioning Manager, you will play a key leadership role within Major Projects, overseeing all substation construction and commissioning activities for Project EnergyConnect. Reporting to the Construction Director – EnergyConnect, you will ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and on budget, while meeting the highest technical, environmental, and stakeholder standards. You will lead a diverse team of Project Managers, Site Managers, Commissioning Specialists, Engineers, and field staff, managing complex brownfield and greenfield delivery environments through to energisation and completion.

 

About You

 

  • Proven track record delivering large, complex infrastructure projects with outstanding safety, quality, and stakeholder outcomes
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams across high-risk construction environments
  • Sound understanding of HSE legislation, risk management, and industry leading practices
  • Highly developed problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering (preferred) and extensive electrical industry experience
  • Experience in commissioning of High Voltage Substations
  • Ability to lead and inspire a great team, fostering collaboration, support, and accountability.
