The Opportunity

Join us as a Civil and Plant Operator, applying your technical skills to maintain, repair and construct substation and transmission line assets, including those supporting renewable energy. You’ll work across critical infrastructure projects and incident response, contributing to a team that prioritises safety, teamwork and high-quality delivery.

 

What You’ll Do

You’ll operate civil and plant equipment across transmission assets while ensuring all tools, equipment and safety documentation are prepared for planned work. You’ll support estimating, planning and site readiness, and communicate clearly with field coordinators and stakeholders to keep work flowing smoothly. You’ll maintain accurate records, report on all field activities, and deliver high‑quality work safely, on time and within budget. As part of the role, you’ll also participate in a standby roster to assist with after‑hours incident response.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations and/or Formwork/Falsework (or equivalent experience)
  • Licences/competencies in: CV (Vehicle Loading Crane), WP (Boom‑type EWP), Dogging/Basic Rigging, Work Safely at Heights, and Heavy Vehicle Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to read technical drawings and operate earthmoving equipment
  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home as required
