About Us

At Transgrid, our work improves the lives of millions – from lighting up sports fields, schools and homes, to powering the wheels of commerce and everything else in between. Now it’s your turn to make it happen.

This is an exciting time in the energy industry with the transition to renewable energy. Recent government policy documents outline plans to facilitate increasing transmission interconnection between states and development of renewable energy zones.

The Opportunity

As a Field Coordinator at Transgrid, you’ll be at the centre of Australia’s electricity transmission operations leading the safe, efficient delivery of work across high-voltage substation sites.

This is a hands-on leadership role, working alongside your team to tackle complex technical challenges while mentoring and growing your team. You’ll have the autonomy to make real-time decisions in the field, the backing of experienced planners and engineers, and the satisfaction of knowing your work directly supports the delivery of safe, reliable energy to millions.

Whether responding to urgent outages, overseeing critical upgrades, or driving improvement across our delivery programs, your contribution will shape both the team culture and the infrastructure powering our future. If you’re a technically skilled leader with a safety-first mindset and a passion for developing people, this is your next big move.

About You

  • Electrical trade qualification with extensive and adaptable experience in the electrical industry, preferably with a focus on HV systems.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills in field environments.
  • Knowledge of high-voltage transmission systems and safety compliance.
  • Proficiency with ERP tools, Excel, and Power BI for reporting.
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative, hands-on approach.
