The Opportunity 

 

As Training Services Manager, you’ll act as the “front door” to the Technical Development team. You’ll be responsible for coordinating enterprise-wide training services and ensuring our calendars, communications, centres, and resources support the delivery of safe, compliant, and effective technical training across Transgrid. 

 

You’ll also oversee the delivery of early career pathways, including apprenticeships and onboarding programs, ensuring every learner’s journey is seamless. This is both a strategic and operational role, with broad influence across the business and close engagement with People & Culture, Centres of Excellence, and external RTOs. 

 

Note: This position can be based at multiple Transgrid locations, including Sydney, Tamworth, Newcastle, Orange, Wagga Wagga, and Yass.

 

A Day in the Life at Transgrid 

 

In this role you’ll: 

 

  • Engage with stakeholders to identify and prioritise training needs across the enterprise. 

  • Coordinate and communicate enterprise training calendars. 

  • Manage training centres, logistics, resources, and outages to enable program delivery. 

  • Lead a small team to ensure effective program management and administration. 

  • Partner with Early Careers teams to oversee apprenticeship and onboarding programs

You are an organised, people-focused leader who thrives on coordinating complex training delivery in a fast-paced environment. You enjoy engaging with stakeholders, managing resources, and ensuring operational excellence.  

 

You will bring: 

 

  • Demonstrated experience in training services or workforce program management. 

  • Strong people leadership and team development skills. 

  • Experience with scheduling, outages, and compliance-driven training. 

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement ability.
