The Opportunity
At Transgrid, we’re committed to shaping the workforce of the future. As Technical Pathways Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing and delivering structured development programs for our Apprentices and Graduates. Working closely with Training Services, RTOs, and industry partners, you will ensure every participant gains the technical, professional, and safety skills required to thrive in the electricity supply industry.
This role directly supports Australia’s energy transition by building robust entry-level pathways that prepare our workforce for the challenges ahead. You’ll manage Apprentice Coordinators, collaborate with industry and education bodies, and ensure Transgrid remains a leader in workforce capability development.
Note: This position can be based at multiple Transgrid locations, including Sydney, Tamworth, Newcastle, Orange, Wagga Wagga, and Yass.
A Day in the Life at Transgrid
You’ll find yourself:

Designing and delivering structured Apprentice and Graduate pathways aligned to business and industry needs.

Leading end-to-end program development, from curriculum design through to evaluation.

Collaborating with TAFEs, RTOs, and Training Services NSW to maintain program compliance and quality.

Coaching and guiding apprentices, graduates, and program coordinators.

Engaging with industry forums to influence future standards and qualifications.
About You
You are passionate about developing early-career professionals and equipping them with the tools to succeed. You combine strong program leadership with a collaborative approach, ensuring apprentices and graduates have the best possible foundation.
You will bring:

Experience in technical workforce development (energy/utilities preferred).

Strong knowledge of apprenticeship and graduate program frameworks.

Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
