Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Strategic Communications Lead to join our Corporate Affairs team on a 2-year fixed term contract. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications, this newly created role plays a pivotal part in shaping and delivering industrial and employee relations communications as Transgrid prepares for enterprise agreement bargaining.

 

You will lead the development and execution of a high-impact communications strategy that drives engagement, transparency and alignment across the organisation. Working closely with the Employee Relations project team and senior leaders, you will deliver clear, timely and trusted communications that support our people, strengthen our employer brand and reinforce a culture where every voice matters.

 

This role acts as the single point of contact for enterprise agreement communications, providing strategic advice, managing feedback and ensuring consistent, credible messaging through a fast-paced and high-profile program of work.

 

About You

 

To be successful in this role, you will bring most or all of the following:

  • Degree-level qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience in internal communications, including leading communications strategies for enterprise bargaining or employee relations initiatives
  • Exceptional written, verbal and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven ability to influence outcomes, manage competing priorities and deliver in complex environments
  • Strong analytical capability to assess issues, risks and communication impacts
