Due to growth of our business, we are now looking to recruit a Social Media Manager to join or Corporate Affairs team.

 

Join Transgrid at a pivotal time in Australia’s energy transition. We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to lead our social strategy, driving engagement, strengthening reputation, and building trust with key audiences.

 

You’ll own end-to-end social deliver from strategy, content, publishing, performance and community management—ensuring all activity is audience-led, on-brand and aligned to business priorities. Working closely with Corporate Affairs, you’ll create high-quality content, optimise channels, and use insights to improve reach and impact.

 

This is a high-profile role requiring strong experience in monitoring sentiment, identifying emerging issues and supporting response strategies—helping protect and enhance Transgrid’s social licence to operate.

 

About you

 

You’re a social media powerhouse who thrives in fast-paced environments and brings the following

 

  Proven experience in large, complex enterprise environments (B2B focus)

  Demonstrated success growing and scaling social media presence and engagement

  Strong experience in issues management and handling sensitive situations on social channels

  Proven experience in social media strategy, content development and channel management

  Strong copywriting skills and ability to bring brand voice to life

  Deep understanding of platforms, trends and audience behaviour

  Ability to analyse performance data and optimise results

  Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  Strong organisation and attention to detail

  Experience with social and analytics tools (e.g. Meta Ads Manager, listening platforms)
