Senior Project Manager
Date: 16 Apr 2026
Location: Sydney, Australia
Company: TransGrid
Why you’ll love this role
Transgrid is entering what its own TAPR 2025 calls the 'deep transition' phase: NSW moving from ~40% to ~90% renewable energy by 2035, with $14 billion of transmission investment planned over the next decade. Lumea, Transgrid's contestable commercial arm, now manages 13 GW+ of generation connections across 55+ sites. Together the group faces six concurrent major projects — each generating substantial, fast-growing demand on IT systems that are almost entirely built on Salesforce
About the role
As Senior Project Manager in Transgrid's Technology team — embedded in the Customers & Landholders Portfolio — you will oversee the full lifecycle of Salesforce and IT projects, from planning through execution and delivery. You will manage multi-stream projects simultaneously across the Transgrid regulatory portfolio and the Lumea contestable commercial portfolio, controlling budgets, allocating resources strategically, mitigating risks, and ensuring projects meet scope, time, and quality objectives.
This role carries enterprise visibility across both the regulated network business and Lumea's fast-growing commercial arm. You will shape Salesforce programs, improve operational efficiency, and guide senior stakeholders including the Portfolio Delivery Manager, Executive General Managers with confidence.
The portfolio spans the full customer and landholder lifecycle — from initial connection enquiry and route corridor engagement through to easement management, construction community liaison, and post-energisation customer service — all enabled by Salesforce and integrated digital tooling.
What you’ll do
- Lead cross‑functional delivery of Salesforce programs across customer portals, CRM, field service and compliance solutions.
- Partner with business and IT stakeholders to define scope, manage budgets, mitigate risk and deliver multiple concurrent project streams.
- Run architecture and design workshops with implementation partners and internal Salesforce teams.
- Oversee integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems including GIS/ArcGIS, SAP, Maximo and OT platforms.
- Provide strategic input on program sequencing, resourcing and emerging technologies (e.g. AI and digital twin platforms).
- Ensure solutions are genuinely usable for landholder communities, including accessible and offline‑capable experiences.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering or a related discipline.
- 10+ years’ experience delivering large‑scale Salesforce programs (CRM, Experience Cloud, Field Service).
- Proven success delivering complex, multi‑stream projects in regulated or utilities environments.
- Strong financial, resource and dependency management capability.
- Solid grounding in Agile (SAFe preferred) and traditional delivery methodologies.
- Executive‑level stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Deep knowledge of Salesforce platform architecture and ecosystem (Sales, Service, Experience Cloud, MuleSoft, Einstein).
