Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Technology and Transformation team.

 

 

In this role, you will lead the planning, delivery and successful implementation of key IT initiatives across Transgrid. You will oversee complex projects from end-to-end, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

 

 

Working closely with the People & Culture, Payroll and Legal teams, you will manage project teams, coordinate resources, and act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders. You will play a critical role in aligning technology projects with Transgrid’s broader strategic and corporate objectives while providing guidance and direction to key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

About you

 

 

To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong combination of project delivery expertise, leadership capability, and stakeholder management skills.

Ideally, you will have:

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 10+ years’ experience delivering complex IT projects in a Project Manager role
  • Demonstrated end-to-end project management experience across multiple methodologies
  • Strong understanding of project management frameworks, tools and best practices
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional project teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with a focus on delivering practical solutions
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, systems development life cycle (SDLC), and industry best practice
  • Project management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 (highly desirable)
  • Experience working with SAP, WFS and Smart Recruiter systems will be highly regarded
