Are you a technically skilled and results-driven Project Engineer looking to make an impact? We’re seeking Senior Project Engineers to join our dynamic team, overseeing the engineering function within complex infrastructure projects. This role provides the opportunity to collaborate with Construction, Procurement, Engineering Design, Project Development, and Asset Management teams, ensuring seamless project execution from start to finish.
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will support Project Managers in project delivery and may independently manage smaller projects. Your expertise in procurement coordination, material management, construction oversight, and design coordination will be critical in delivering high-value projects across various locations.

A Day in the Life as a Senior Project Engineer at Transgrid
Your day will always vary, some likely tasks would see you planning, executing, and monitoring project phases, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. In addition to this your day will consist of:
- Provide engineering support, resolve construction challenges, and ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate clear communication and coordination.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement while mentoring junior engineers.
- Ensure adherence to HSE regulations, governance frameworks, and risk management protocols.
- Track project performance, budgets, and risks, providing regular reports to project teams and leadership.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects (typically 4-8 years)
- Strong knowledge of substation construction.
- Experience managing construction contracts and stakeholder agreements.
- Proficiency in risk management, quality assurance, and project reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, and stakeholder engagement.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
