The Opportunity
If you love bringing structure, clarity and insight to complex work, this role gives you the space to make a real impact. In this role, you’ll develop and manage project and program schedules, lead Earned Value Assessments, ensure schedule compliance with contractual conditions, and help shape planning processes that enable teams to deliver with confidence.
You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, commercial partners and external stakeholders, building strong relationships and offering trusted guidance as you help teams stay aligned, informed, and on track. As the senior planning expert, you’ll play a meaningful role in driving improvements, uplifting capability, and contributing to the success of major infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced planner who brings strong analytical capability, excellent communication skills and a collaborative, solutions‑focused approach. This role can be based from Sydney or Newcastle.
About You
- Deep experience in project planning, earned value and schedule risk analysis within capital‑intensive environments
- Strong capability with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project across programs or portfolios
- Proven ability to build constructive relationships, negotiate timelines and communicate insights clearly
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Experience mentoring or guiding teams, with a passion for continuous improvement
- Experience in a contractor project delivery environment, being able to manage both downstream and upstream requirements
