We’re growing — fast — and are looking for a Senior Manager Regulation to join our Regulatory and Policy team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, Regulation and Policy, you’ll lead work that informs executive and Board-level decisions, while helping drive regulatory frameworks that support Australia’s transition to clean energy.

 

In this pivotal role, you will:

• Play a central role in developing regulatory proposals and reform options for senior leadership and key market stakeholders
• Shape and execute Transgrid’s regulatory strategy, ensuring initiatives are aligned with our strategic priorities and approved Board direction
• Influence policy and regulatory outcomes that enable major infrastructure investment and long-term system transformation
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to negotiate outcomes, build alignment, and drive progress
• Provide thought leadership, insight, and analytical guidance to support commercial and strategic decision-making

 

 

About you

 

You’re a strategic thinker who thrives in complex, influential environments. You enjoy shaping policy, working with senior decision-makers, and using your expertise to guide big-picture decisions that matter.

 

You will bring:

 

• Tertiary qualifications in economics (or equivalent relevant experience)
• Strong technical grounding in regulatory economics principles and practice
• Excellent analytical capability and highly developed written & verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated experience influencing and negotiating with senior stakeholders
• Proven project management and strategic delivery skills
• Experience shaping or contributing to organisational strategy
