The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced engineering leader to step into the newly created role of Senior Manager, Integration and Constructability. This is a career defining opportunity to shape how Australia’s critical transmission projects are designed and delivered.
You will lead a specialist team ensuring that designs are constructable, integrated, and future-ready from the earliest concept stage through to final commissioning. This is a high-impact role, working closely with the GM, senior leadership, and external delivery partners to influence strategy, set standards, and build capability in one of the most exciting phases of Transgrid’s history.

- Represent Transgrid at industry forums and community workshops.
- Mentor and develop a team of engineering specialists, driving a high-performance and collaborative culture.
- Influence strategic investment decisions by providing technical and commercial insights.
Your work will be central to ensuring our projects are not only technically robust, but also deliverable in practice, safe for our people, and trusted by the communities we serve.
About You
You are a senior engineering leader with deep expertise in high-voltage transmission infrastructure and a passion for design for delivery principles. You bring:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification/experience).
- Extensive experience in high-voltage substation and transmission line design, delivery, and integration.
- Proven success in constructability leadership, risk management, and technical governance across major capital projects.
- Strong knowledge of national and international technical standards, with an eye for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage communities, landholders, contractors, and industry partners.
- A collaborative, high-integrity leadership style, with the ability to build, mentor, and inspire high-performing teams.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering leadership, strategic influence, and project delivery excellence.
