The Opportunity

We’re currently offering a 12-month fixed-term opportunity for a Senior Internal Auditor, created through an internal secondment. In this role, you’ll support the delivery of Transgrid’s internal audit program by planning and executing risk-based audits and assurance activities.
Working closely with the Head of Internal Audit & Project Assurance, you’ll:
- Deliver internal audits from planning through to reporting
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business
- Contribute to Board and executive reporting
- Support special reviews, investigations, and assurance activities

About You
You’re a proactive and curious professional who enjoys solving problems and working collaboratively. You bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Experience in internal or external audit and/or assurance (preferred, not essential)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- High levels of integrity, independence, and professionalism
- The confidence to challenge and contribute new ideas
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- An understanding of internal audit standards (or willingness to learn)
- The ability to identify risks and provide practical, value-adding solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
