The Opportunity

We’re currently offering a 12-month fixed-term opportunity for a Senior Internal Auditor, created through an internal secondment. In this role, you’ll support the delivery of Transgrid’s internal audit program by planning and executing risk-based audits and assurance activities.

Working closely with the Head of Internal Audit & Project Assurance, you’ll:

• Deliver internal audits from planning through to reporting
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business
• Contribute to Board and executive reporting
• Support special reviews, investigations, and assurance activities

About You

You’re a proactive and curious professional who enjoys solving problems and working collaboratively. You bring:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• Experience in internal or external audit and/or assurance (preferred, not essential)
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• High levels of integrity, independence, and professionalism
• The confidence to challenge and contribute new ideas
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• An understanding of internal audit standards (or willingness to learn)
• The ability to identify risks and provide practical, value-adding solutions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
