Working across the Delivery Projects Group, you will establish robust reporting and processes, partner with finance and operational stakeholders, and help multidisciplinary project teams strengthen their financial acumen. Your insights will support informed decisions, improve financial performance and help teams navigate the complexities of the project development lifecycle.

The impact you’ll make

You will bring forward-looking insight, disciplined planning and a continuous-improvement mindset to a complex, deadline-driven project environment.

  • Deliver accurate, timely reporting, dashboards and commentary that identify trends, explain performance and support proactive financial decisions.

  • Lead monthly financial reviews with project teams, analysing actuals against budgets and forecasts and recommending actions to improve cost management and control.

  • Support annual budgeting, business planning, FTE forecasting, job repricing, month-end, accruals and cost allocations.

  • Build financial models and scenario analyses for projects, initiatives and ad-hoc decisions, including assessments of financial viability and risk.

  • Improve reporting processes and support the implementation of new systems while working across finance, operations and diverse business stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

You can simplify complex financial information for non-financial audiences while maintaining accuracy, commercial discipline and momentum across competing priorities.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field, together with a CPA, CA or equivalent qualification.

  • At least three years’ senior-level experience in finance or accounting within a large, complex organisation, including business partnering in a project environment.

  • An understanding of the project management lifecycle and capex and opex, supported by strong commercial acumen and experience communicating with varied stakeholders.

  • Advanced Excel, data analysis and financial modelling capability. PowerPoint and Oracle knowledge will be advantageous.

  • A proactive, collaborative approach, strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity and meet deadlines.

Why this role

This is an opportunity to build your experience across complex, multidisciplinary projects while taking real responsibility for financial insight and decision-making. You’ll bring greater clarity to project performance, improve processes and systems, and work with diverse stakeholders to turn complex information into practical, commercial insight.
