Due to growth in our business, Transgrid is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join us in our Ultimo Head Office.  The role reports into our General Manager of Finance for our Network division.  In your new role you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships between Finance and the assigned Business Units, working closely with leadership teams to achieve shared organisational goals.

 

The Senior Finance Business Partner is responsible for the provision of sound financial information, actionable insights and strategic advice to the assigned Business Units.

 

 

About You

 

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess some or all of the following:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications at degree level in a related discipline
  • Certified Practising Accountant (CA, CPA, CIMA) qualifications
  • Experience working within the utilities or other regulated industries
  • Sound financial and management accounting work experience
  • Experience in driving best practice in the finance partnering space.
  • High level of negotiation and stakeholder engagement expertise.
  • Strong financial accounting background for a large corporation
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to work autonomously in drawing and interpreting relevant data from multiple sources and presenting information in clear and concise reports.
  • Demonstrated skills in financial modelling and performance analysis.
  • Demonstrable experience in business performance and process improvement
  • Good understanding of the regulatory and accounting framework and business environment
  • Knowledge on the use of corporate financial systems and software applications
  • Experience in infrastructure industry within capex extensive organizations
