Senior Estimator

About the role

 The Senior Estimator is responsible for the preparation of capital and operating cost estimates for prescribed and customer projects.

In your new role you will utilise the cost estimation databases and tool to develop accurate project estimates, including analysis of project data to provide relevant benchmarking.

You will provide estimating leadership, supervision and support to other team members and develop estimates to help provide advice to project developers on cost effective project solutions in accordance with the Project Development Framework.

About you

• Tertiary qualification at degree level in an engineering discipline, construction management, quantity surveying or related field.
• Several years’ experience in the management and/or use of estimating systems for major capital works.
• Very high standard of interpersonal, communication and report writing skills, personal integrity and professionalism.
• High level problem-solving and analytical skills, including the assessment and costing of complex projects.
• A strong focus on detail and accuracy, balanced with the ability to work quickly, under pressure and to deadlines.
• A strong commercial focus to costing of projects.
