About the role

 

As the Senior Contracts Manager – Substations, you will be responsible for leading the commercial and contract management of the Substations Design & Construction (D&C) contract for the Hunter Transmission Project, ensuring robust contract administration, governance, compliance, and risk control.

 

The role translates strategic commercial objectives into effective delivery while providing oversight of variations, claims, and all substation‑related contract matters.

 

About You

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in law, business, engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in contract management for major infrastructure or utilities projects, ideally with exposure to substation or electrical works.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading complex contract administration, including managing variations from a contract management perspective.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial risk management, and governance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to interpret, negotiate, and advise on high-value D&C contracts.
  • Advanced skills in stakeholder engagement, reporting, and use of contract management systems / tools.
  • Experience supporting audits, assurance, and continuous improvement within a large project delivery environment.
