The Opportunity

 

As a Senior Biodiversity Business Partner, you will support the Environment and Sustainability team in ensuring all biodiversity risks and impacts are effectively managed.  You will be responsible for leading compliance with the contractors’ Biodiversity Management Plan and associated sub-plans whilst supporting the delivery of the Biodiversity Offset Package (BOP). 

 

You will support spatial data analysis and governance and lead the collection of data to ensure clearing limits are well-managed and any construction risks are transferred to the operational data sets.

 

As part of your role, you will be required to travel within the state of NSW (and interstate) to attend site meetings and conduct inspections on various project sites. In some instances, this will involve staying overnight at regional locations within NSW.

 

About You

 

  • Degree qualification in Science/Ecology or equivalent and a current Drivers Licence.
  • Understanding of biodiversity risks associated with electricity networks or similar linear infrastructure.
  • Experience in major project delivery, particularly electricity networks or similar linear infrastructure.
  • Good understanding and demonstrated experience in the use of geographic information systems with a technical background.
  • Extensive experience in biodiversity survey and construction-phase flora and fauna management.
