About Us
At Transgrid, our work improves the lives of millions – from lighting up sports fields, schools and homes, to powering the wheels of commerce and everything else in between. Now it’s your turn to make it happen.
This is an exciting time in the energy industry with the transition to renewable energy. Recent government policy documents outline plans to facilitate increasing transmission interconnection between states and development of renewable energy zones.
The Opportunity
In your new role, you will be part of the Supply Chain team responsible for enabling the timely and accurate purchasing of goods and services that support Transgrid’s projects and maintenance activities.
You will manage end‑to‑end purchasing activities across a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment, working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure requisitions are validated, purchase orders are raised efficiently and deliveries are tracked through to completion.
By applying strong attention to detail, sound judgement and clear communication, you will help maintain discipline across the Source‑to‑Pay process, balance competing priorities, and strengthen supplier relationships. Your contribution will play an important role in keeping critical operations running smoothly and supporting the long‑term effectiveness of Transgrid’s supply chain.
About You
You are organised, resilient and customer focused, with a genuine interest in purchasing and supply chain operations within a fast paced, high volume environment. You’ll bring:
- Demonstrated ability to manage high‑volume purchasing activity while maintaining accuracy and process discipline
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to manage expectations with a wide range of stakeholders
- Well developed organisational skills and the discipline to follow structured Source to Pay processes
- A collaborative, relationship focused approach to working with internal teams and suppliers
- Purchasing, supply chain or technical exposure (preferred), with the willingness to learn systems such as Maximo and iBuy
