About Us

At Transgrid, our work improves the lives of millions – from lighting up sports fields, schools and homes, to powering the wheels of commerce and everything else in between. Now it’s your turn to make it happen.

We play a crucial role in delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable energy to millions of Australians. Operating over 13,000 km of high-voltage transmission lines and 128 substations across NSW and the ACT, we connect electricity generators to the distribution network powering homes, businesses, and communities. As Australia accelerates its energy transition, the work we do has never been more significant.

The Opportunity

At Transgrid, we're playing a critical role in Australia's clean energy future by delivering the infrastructure that connects renewable energy projects and powers millions of homes, businesses and communities across NSW and the ACT.

We're looking for a Land & Property Officer to join our team on a 15-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Land & Property Manager, you'll play an important role in supporting the delivery of Transgrid's capital projects by coordinating land and property activities from project planning through to delivery.

Working closely with our Property and Project teams, you'll support land access and acquisition activities, manage property-related documentation, and help ensure compliance with legislative, environmental and governance requirements. You'll also contribute to the management of Transgrid's network and non-network property portfolio, easements, land information systems, policies and standards.

This is a collaborative role where you'll work with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including Land Agents, legal representatives and project teams, to help deliver critical infrastructure projects that support Australia's energy transition.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating land access activities for capital projects, ensuring compliance with safety and operational requirements.
  • Supporting land acquisition activities, including liaising with Land Agents, legal teams and key stakeholders to facilitate the acquisition of land and property interests.

About You

You're an organised and proactive property professional with experience supporting infrastructure or major capital projects. You enjoy building strong stakeholder relationships, navigating complex land and property matters, and delivering outcomes in a collaborative environment.

You'll bring:

  • Degree qualifications in Property, Land Management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in land and property management, ideally within infrastructure, utilities or major projects.
  • Knowledge of land access, property negotiations, compulsory acquisition and relevant NSW and Commonwealth legislation.
  • Experience supporting land acquisition activities and working with legal, property and project stakeholders.
  • Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading or coordinating technical specialists or multidisciplinary project teams will be highly regarded.
