The Opportunity

 

In this role, you will lead project finance management, ensuring accurate cost allocation, recording, and reporting. You will oversee budget development and forecasting, monitor performance, analyse variances, and make necessary adjustments. Your insights will drive strategic decisions through financial reports and performance dashboards.

 

You will collaborate closely with the Project, Commercial, and Finance teams to communicate financial insights effectively. Supporting regulatory proposals and decisions, you will provide hands-on financial guidance, address financial queries, and enhance financial processes and reporting.

 

Our ideal candidate is a finance professional with experience in project finance, ideally within construction or energy infrastructure, and a strong commercial mindset. You should be able to interpret complex financial data and present it clearly. Your strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills will be key for you to build relationships and drive the success of Transgrid’s dynamic projects.

 

 

About you

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Accounting, or Finance, along with CPA, CA, or an equivalent certification.
  • 6+ years of experience in project finance, with a focus on business partnering.
  • “Can do” attitude, collaborative mindset, and the desire to contribute to a high performing team
  • Strong data analysis and modelling skills, combined with commercial acumen and the ability to interpret complex financial data and present it in a clear, engaging way.
  • Able to work independently, prioritise tasks, make recommendations and meet deadlines
