The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. 

We are looking for a Procurement and Purchasing Officer to proactively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand business requirements for short to medium term routine procurement matters and to support the procurement of a range of goods and/or services.

The Procurement and Purchasing Officer will be proactively supporting the day-to-day operational requirements of our business units across the organisation serving our key stakeholders efficiently and effectively, to promote end-to-end customer support and service.

In this role you will actively:

  • Provide support to Business stakeholders to review Purchase Requisitions, establish Purchase Orders, and carry out mini-RFQ process.
  • Provide support to the Sourcing team during sourcing (tendering), evaluation and contract setup.
  • Support Sourcing team during Supplier Performance Monitoring.
  • Main categories of work: Recruitment, labour hire, travel and IT.
  • Hands-on experience in Procurement platforms (SAP Ariba).

About you

  • 5+ years industry experience, with 2 years’ experience in Procurement/Purchasing desirable.
  • Relevant corporate and personal computing skills including knowledge and experience with contemporary procurement and contract management systems, preferably SAP Ariba.
  • High level oral and written communication skills are required to inform, resolve conflicts, and negotiate with customers, suppliers, team leaders and Managers.
  • Knowledge of Commercial Policies and Procedures, particularly the Procurement Procedure, Strategic Contracts (Panels) Management procedure and Financial Authorities process.
  • Understanding of Commercial Terms and Conditions.
  • Understand the principles of the Legal Framework policy.
  • Good business (commercial) sense, trustworthiness, dedication, creativity, professionalism with a strong work ethic and desire to work as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of Work Health & Safety and Environment policies and procedures.
