Operations Manager/ Continuous Improvement Manager
Date: 24 Jul 2026
Location: Sydney, NSW, Australia
Company: TransGrid
We're looking for someone who's naturally curious, loves solving problems and gets a buzz from making work simpler, smarter and better for everyone.
Don't have a People & Culture background? That's okay. We're open to candidates from any discipline who bring strong continuous improvement, process optimisation or transformation experience. If you've successfully improved how teams, services or businesses operate, we'd love to hear your story.
About the role
As our new Continuous Improvement Manager, you'll help shape how our People & Culture team works by identifying opportunities, streamlining processes and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
This is a brand-new opportunity to make a real impact across the P&C function. You'll work closely with leaders, People Services, Business Partners, Centres of Excellence, Systems and Data teams to redesign the experiences that matter most to our leaders and employees.
No two days will look the same, but you'll be:
- Building and embedding a practical approach to continuous improvement across P&C.
- Leading high-impact process improvement initiatives from idea through to implementation.
- Creating a clear roadmap of improvement priorities that deliver real business value.
- Introducing a process ownership model that gives teams clarity and accountability.
- Coaching colleagues to build continuous improvement capability across the function.
- Bringing people together, creating momentum and making change stick.
You'll thrive in this role if you:
- Love untangling complex processes and finding simpler ways of working.
- Enjoy bringing people together to solve problems.
- Balance big-picture thinking with getting things done.
- Have experience leading process improvement and driving change in complex organisations.
- Are passionate about creating better experiences for people through practical improvements.
Knowledge & Experience
- Proven experience delivering people or business process improvements, with clear evidence of implemented outcomes
- Strong grounding in continuous improvement methodologies, with the ability to apply them in practical, flexible ways
- Track record of driving change through others, not just delivering work independently
- Experience building momentum and engagement across teams in complex environments
- Strong delivery discipline, including the ability to track progress, manage priorities and ensure outcomes are realised
Qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
