The Opportunity

 

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in driving excellence across a critical function of a national infrastructure leader? Transgrid is seeking an Operations Manager, Procurement to ensure our procurement operations run seamlessly, efficiently, and strategically, supporting our mission to power Australia’s energy future.

 

In this role, you will partner with the Chief Procurement Officer to manage the operating model, streamline processes, and lead initiatives that enhance efficiency, transparency, and collaboration across the business. You will coordinate supplier relationships, oversee indirect procurement spend, and ensure governance and reporting are delivered with precision. Your work will directly enable our teams to deliver major projects, build strong supplier partnerships, and contribute to the energy transition.

 

We are looking for a proactive, highly organised professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You are an exceptional communicator, a natural problem solver, and a driving force behind continuous improvement. You will make an impact by ensuring the Procurement function not only delivers operational excellence but also empowers the organisation to achieve its strategic goals.

 

About you

 

  • Previous or relevant experience as a business manager, group administrator or team coordinator in a large organisation.
  • Calendar management and prioritisation experience
  • Familiarity with Office365 and a variety of document management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to build rapport with a range of stakeholders and present information concisely.
