Build leader capability and shape the future of People Advisory at Transgrid
At Transgrid, we connect communities and enable Australia’s clean energy future. Our success depends on our people and we’re looking for an experienced Manager People Advisory Services to help strengthen the capability of our leaders and deliver impactful people solutions across the organisation.
This is a senior People & Culture leadership role responsible for leading our People Advisory Services function, supporting leaders through practical, in-the-moment advice and ensuring the effective delivery of key employee lifecycle activities.
As a trusted partner across the business, you will bring together business insight, people expertise and strong leadership capability to ensure our P&C solutions are practical, relevant and deliver real outcomes.
About the role
Reporting to the General Manager P&C Business Partnering & Operations, you will lead a team of Senior People Advisors and work closely with Senior P&C Business Partners, Employee Relations, Centres of Excellence and People Services to deliver integrated people outcomes.
You will:
- Lead and evolve the People Advisory service model across the business.
- Build the capability of mid and frontline leaders through practical coaching and support.
- Guide the team through complex and sensitive employee matters, ensuring sound judgement and consistent outcomes.
- Enable effective delivery of employee lifecycle activities including performance, remuneration, talent, succession and engagement processes.
- Provide business insights on leader capability, people challenges and emerging workforce trends.
- Influence P&C priorities and solutions by bringing the voice of leaders and the business into decision making.
- Create a culture of proactive, capability-building advisory support.
About you
You are an experienced People & Culture leader with a strong generalist background and a passion for helping leaders succeed. You understand that great advisory support is about building capability, not just resolving issues.
You will have:
- Extensive experience as a P&C Business Partner, HR leader or senior generalist within a complex organisation.
- Deep knowledge across the employee lifecycle, including performance, talent, engagement, remuneration and employee relations.
- Experience leading People Advisory, HR Advisory or similar service-based teams.
- Strong coaching capability and the ability to build confidence in leaders through practical support.
- Proven experience managing complex people matters with sound commercial and organisational judgement.
- The ability to identify business trends and translate insights into effective people solutions.
Your leadership style
- A credible and influential People leader who builds strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Pragmatic and commercially minded, balancing business outcomes, risk and policy.
- Collaborative and connected, working across P&C to deliver integrated outcomes.
- Comfortable setting standards, creating clarity and improving service delivery.
- A coach who develops capability through real situations and meaningful conversations.
Why join Transgrid?
