As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for a Maintenance and Facilities Management Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement team. This is a great opportunity to work on critical, business-wide initiatives that directly support the performance and sustainability of our operations.

 

 

In this role, you’ll partner closely with stakeholders across the organisation to develop and execute procurement strategies for maintenance and facilities management services. You’ll lead end-to-end sourcing activities—from market engagement and tendering through to negotiation and contract establishment—ensuring outcomes align with Transgrid’s commercial, operational, and strategic objectives.

 

 

You’ll also play an important role in strengthening procurement practices by applying governance frameworks, identifying value opportunities, and driving continuous improvement across supplier performance and contract management. Working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, you’ll have the opportunity to influence key decisions and build strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners.

 

About you

 

You’re a motivated procurement professional who enjoys working collaboratively and delivering practical, value-driven outcomes. You bring a combination of commercial acumen, strong communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships across a complex organisation.

 

 

You’ll also bring:

 

 

  • Qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. Law, Supply Chain) or 3–5 years’ experience in procurement, legal, finance, project management or a related field
  • A solid understanding of procurement principles, governance frameworks, and best practice policies
  • Awareness of consumer and competition law and its application in a procurement environment
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders
  • Experience supporting or leading sourcing activities and supplier engagement
  • Negotiation and influencing skills (desirable)
  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive outcomes
