Health and Safety Coordinator

Date: 18 Dec 2025

Location: Sydney, NSW, Australia

Company: TransGrid

At Transgrid, we play a critical role in delivering the infrastructure that powers NSW, including the delivery of HumeLink one of the state’s most significant transmission infrastructure projects. Our Health, Safety and Environment team is central to how we protect our people, our partners, and the communities along the HumeLink corridor. Operating across a complex, multi-package project environment and joint venture delivery models, we are committed to using insight, evidence, and collaboration to strengthen safety outcomes and proactively manage risk across the project lifecycle.

About the Role

This role sits at the heart of the Health and Safety function and is an influential position within the team, responsible for synthesising information from Transgrid systems, joint venture partner systems, and on-site assurance activities to identify emerging risks and inform strategic safety focus areas. This is not an administrative reporting role; it is an intelligence-driven position that connects data with on-site reality, interpreting what the information is telling us and translating insight into meaningful narratives that support leaders to focus effort where it matters most.

The outputs of this role shape decision-making, influence strategy, and help ensure emerging risks are identified and managed early across complex delivery environments. Position can be located in either Wagga Wagga, Yass or Golburn.

About You

  • Naturally information-driven and curious, with the ability to interpret data and understand what it means in real-world, operational and site-based environments
  • Demonstrated experience using data and assurance outcomes to identify, assess, and manage emerging health and safety risks
  • Proven ability to synthesise information from multiple systems, joint venture partners, and assurance activities into clear, practical insights
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to tell the story behind the numbers and influence leaders and project teams
  • Experience working within complex, site-based or major project environments, with the ability to collaborate effectively with delivery partners and stakeholders.
