This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to leading Australia’s clean energy transition, building the energy super-highways and enabling nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. 

 

As HSE Coordinator you will provide guidance, support, and assistance in all areas of Health & Safety ensuring compliance with Transgrid’s Policies and Procedures and site HSE requirements.

 

This role presents a valuable opportunity for the right candidate to collaborate within a team environment, develop their skills within the High Voltage Transmission electricity industry, and engage in safety system reviews for continuous improvements.

 

You will have a focus on and be able to effectively manage expectations at all levels. A self-starter, you will thrive in a busy and ever changing, fast paced environment and will enjoy working within a high functioning team.

 

This role will transition from office to site over the next 8 or so months where it will continue as a site based role. 

 

As HSE Coordinator you will:

 

  • Conduct ‘trust but verify H&S site inspections at various locations throughout the project.
  • Build strong working relationships with project and Principal Contractor personnel.
  • Be a trusted advisor to the project inspiring good safety standards and support legislative and industry changes.
  • Implement relevant HSE strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain effective partnership with all key stakeholders.
  • Support the Project team in providing H&S reporting data on internal systems (such as InEight, PowerBi, Microsoft Excel).
  • Respond to feedback and change requests in reports.
  • Prepare training packages to the project team.

 

Skills & Experience 

 

            • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent and/or relevant knowledge and competence gained through experience
            • A current Australian driver’s licence.
            • Proficiency in the use of corporate information systems
            • Sound knowledge of and proven experience in PC software i.e. Windows, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint
            • Advanced Excel experience and skills
            • Ability to liaise with customers and stakeholders both internal and external.
            • Able to work in a team environment effectively.
            • Good written and verbal communication skills
            • Team player and understanding of site-based requirements
