The Opportunity
This is a rare and highly influential executive leadership opportunity to shape one of the most critical enablers of Australia’s energy transition.
Lead the strategy, governance and delivery of Transgrid’s land access and acquisition portfolio, ensuring property rights are secured to enable major transmission infrastructure projects across NSW and the ACT.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Stakeholder Engagement and Environment, you will operate at the intersection of infrastructure delivery, government policy and community engagement. You’ll lead a large, multidisciplinary team, driving performance across a complex project landscape.
This pivotal role supports multi‑billion‑dollar infrastructure investment by delivering enterprise-wide strategies that balance commercial outcomes, regulatory requirements and community expectations. As a senior leader, you will also influence key stakeholders and help position Transgrid as a leader in responsible infrastructure development.
About you
You are a seasoned executive with a proven track record delivering large-scale, complex programs across infrastructure, property or related sectors. You bring strong strategic and commercial capability, and the ability to lead through ambiguity and change.
A confident and credible leader, you operate effectively at executive and board level while driving high performance across your teams. You are recognised for building trusted relationships with government, industry and community stakeholders.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualification in a property-related discipline or equivalent experience
- Deep knowledge of legislation, regulatory frameworks and planning approvals across NSW and the ACT
- Proven ability to lead complex programs and deliver outcomes in dynamic environments
- Strong commercial acumen, including negotiation, contractor management and asset strategy
- Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing, multidisciplinary teams
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, including managing sensitive, high-impact relationships
- Strategic, innovative thinking with a focus on transformation and continuous improvement
- Sound risk management capability across regulatory and reputational considerations
- Excellent communication, influencing skills and professional integrity
