Finance Business Partner - Enablers

The Opportunity 

 

As our business grows, we're looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our Commercial & Operational Finance team, supporting Transgrid's Enabling functions.

 

Partnering with internal teams including Procurement, Legal, Risk, Finance and Treasury portfolio, you will provide financial and commercial insights that help shape key business decisions.

 

You'll play a hands-on role in reporting, budgeting, forecasting and provide ad hoc decision support, while ensuring strong financial governance. If you enjoy working with senior stakeholders, solving complex challenges and influencing outcomes through data-driven insights, we'd love to hear from you.

 

About You

 

You're a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders to influence business outcomes. You combine strong technical accounting knowledge with commercial acumen and are confident translating complex financial information into practical, strategic insights.

 

You'll bring:

 

  • Degree qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with CA or CPA accreditation preferred.
  • Ability to drive and deliver cross functional continuous improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience in a Finance Business Partner or Commercial Finance role within a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong financial and management accounting expertise, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance analysis.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders and provide commercially focused advice across the business
  • Strong analytical thinking to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and better business outcomes.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards, financial controls and regulatory frameworks, with exposure to regulated industries (such as energy or utilities) being highly regarded.
  • Proficiency using enterprise financial systems and reporting tools.
