Operating over 13,000 km of high-voltage transmission lines and 128 substations across NSW and the ACT, we connect electricity generators to the distribution network—powering homes, businesses, and communities.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a high-performing and proactive Executive Assistant to support our Executive General Manager, Delivery and senior leadership team. Based in Ultimo, this is a 12-month fixed-term maternity leave cover - an ideal opportunity to step into a high-profile executive support role within a dynamic and purpose-driven organisation. You’ll be a trusted partner, helping drive performance by managing information flow, prioritising key initiatives, and ensuring the Executive's time is used effectively.

In this role, you’ll handle complex and sensitive information, coordinate communications and reports across the business, and play an integral part in the rhythm of our operations. You'll also support strategic initiatives, manage high-level stakeholder relationships, and help the leadership team stay ahead in a fast-moving environment.

A Day in the Life as an EA at Transgrid

No two days are the same in this role. One morning, you could be coordinating briefing materials for a Board submission; that afternoon, you might be liaising with key internal stakeholders, screening communications, or troubleshooting a scheduling conflict with a calm, solutions-first mindset. Some of your day-to-day duties include:

  • Manage the Executive’s diary and email priorities with a proactive lens.
  • Prepare high-quality documentation, presentations and internal communications.
  • Coordinate meetings, travel, training and events for the Delivery team.
  • Act as the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Capture and follow up on key actions, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

You’ll be an essential part of our team, helping to maintain momentum on critical business outcomes and ensuring seamless administrative support across a busy executive office.

About You

You're a seasoned Executive Assistant with experience in a mid-to-large organisation, ideally within a complex, matrixed environment. You thrive under pressure, are highly organised, and have a sharp eye for detail. You’re a natural problem-solver with strong interpersonal skills and a reputation for being trustworthy, discreet, and proactive.

You’ll also bring:

  • Extensive experience in executive support at a senior level.
  • Outstanding time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Confidence to work independently and exercise sound judgment on behalf of the Executive.
  • A genuine interest in understanding the business and contributing to its success.
  • A Business Administration qualification (preferred).
  • Strong technical skills including Microsoft Office and enterprise business systems.

If you're ready to support a key executive leader in a high-impact role while contributing to major infrastructure delivery across the energy sector, we’d love to hear from you.
