The opportunity
Right now, we have a new opportunity available to join our growing Equipment Engineering team.
Our Equipment Engineering team plays a critical role in providing expertise on high voltage equipment, providing technical advice and support across the transmission network, including equipment selection, performance analysis and defect investigations.
In your role as Equipment Interface Lead, you will oversee HV and MV primary equipment across Transgrid projects, ensuring successful delivery through engaging Equipment Engineers at the right time.
The role leads and governs equipment interfaces, exercising significant professional judgement to balance technical, project, commercial, safety and stakeholder requirements. The position is also responsible for assisting with and facilitating investigation of issues with new primary equipment as well as defects and failure investigations for existing network equipment.
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering (Degree or Advanced Diploma) with extensive relevant experience.
- Foundational understanding of the performance requirements, design, manufacturing and testing of various items of HV equipment (such as transformers, switchgear, reactive plant and instrument transformers).
- Experience managing multiple workstreams in complex, multidisciplinary engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Excellent communication skills for documentation, coordination, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in project tools and systems (Word, Excel, TRIM, Ellipse, or equivalent).
