The Opportunity

 

As the Engineering Manager you will provide strategic leadership in asset management interfacing and engineering integration for the HumeLink project. You will be responsible for adherence to engineering quality and standards compliance, as well as compliance with regulatory and safety standards, driving innovation, and aligning project objectives with asset management requirements.  By leading cross-functional collaboration, you will optimize technical feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and operational performance.

 

Reporting to the Integration & Technical Services Manager, you will oversee engineering and asset management coordination, ensuring compliance with high-voltage infrastructure requirements and National Electricity Rules. You will manage post-IFC design updates, design tracking, risk management, technical completions tracking, and technical assessments while maintaining a strong commercial focus and agility in responding to industry changes.

 

Key responsibilities include leading technical specifications and delivery; be responsible for engineering excellence on the HumeLink project, managing stakeholder relationships; ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance; and fostering high performance and continuous improvement. You will also direct a team of project and design professionals.

 

About You

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, or related discipline).
  • Solid demonstrated experience in relevant high voltage infrastructure project delivery
  • Extensive experience in High Voltage Substation and Transmission Line system design
  • Demonstrated flexibility and agility in responding to project challenges and stakeholder demands.
  • Substantial knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures applicable to the preparation of designs and specifications
