The Opportunity
Safety is central to everything we do at Transgrid. As the Program Lead for PSSR, you will be the custodian of our Power System Safety Rules (PSSR) training. You’ll design and deliver programs that ensure every employee and contractor understands and applies these rules correctly, embedding a culture of safety across the organisation.
You will work closely with HSE teams, Electrical Safety Managers, and operational leaders to ensure training reflects current practices, risk controls, and compliance requirements. This role is about much more than compliance. It’s about protecting lives and ensuring every person goes home safe, every day.
A Day in the Life at Transgrid
In this role you’ll:

Develop and deliver PSSR training and authorisation programs.

Collaborate with HSE and operational teams to align training with safety priorities.

Monitor effectiveness of training and continuously improve based on feedback and incidents.

Maintain accurate training records for compliance and audit purposes.

Provide coaching and support to ensure consistent application of safety rules.
About You
You bring a deep understanding of electrical safety, authorisations, and HV operations. You know how to engage others on safety, making rules and compliance meaningful, practical, and lived. You will bring:

Certificate III in Electrotechnology plus Certificate IV TAE (or willingness to obtain).

Significant experience with safety rules and HV authorisations in the energy sector.

Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging safety training.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative style.
