About Us

At Transgrid, our work improves the lives of millions – from lighting up sports fields, schools and homes, to powering the wheels of commerce and everything else in between. Now it’s your turn to make it happen.

This is an exciting time in the energy industry with the transition to renewable energy. Recent government policy documents outline plans to facilitate increasing transmission interconnection between states and development of renewable energy zones.

The Opportunity

In your new role, you will play key role in the delivery of complex transmission line capital and major maintenance projects across NSW. You will oversee projects valued up to $80M, managing both contractor‑delivered and self‑managed works. You’ll work closely with internal delivery teams and external contractors to safely deliver critical infrastructure that supports network reliability and Australia’s energy transition.

This role offers exposure across electrical, civil and structural disciplines, opportunities to support Substations, Major Projects and Project Development teams, and the chance to contribute to essential upgrades enabling renewable energy integration.

Our ideal candidate has experience delivering capital and major maintenance infrastructure projects, managing both contractor‑led and self‑managed works, including crew coordination, materials and site planning. Experience across transmission line and associated civil works, as well as substation brownfield projects (including asset replacement, civil works and bench extensions), is highly regarded, along with a collaborative mindset, strong stakeholder engagement and a commitment to safety.

About You

  • Experience delivering medium to large infrastructure projects, ideally within transmission, utilities or comparable linear assets
  • Comfortable managing both contractor‑led and self‑managed works, including coordinating crews, materials and site activities
  • Strong commercial awareness, with experience managing budgets, schedules and construction contracts
  • Prioritises safety and public risk management when delivering works in live operational environments
  • Actively support junior engineer development and effective team collaboration
