About Us

At Transgrid, our work improves the lives of millions – from lighting up sports fields, schools and homes, to powering the wheels of commerce and everything else in between. Now it’s your turn to make it happen.

This is an exciting time in the energy industry with the transition to renewable energy. Recent government policy documents outline plans to facilitate increasing transmission interconnection between states and development of renewable energy zones.

The Opportunity

In your new role, you will be part of the team responsible for maintaining Transgrid’s critical SCADA application, the system underpinning the monitoring and control of the NSW electrical network.

Your work will involve developing and updating SCADA databases and displays to reflect changes across the grid and to support the increasing integration of renewable energy sources. You will configure and refine the electrical grid model using specialised data‑modelling tools, ensuring the network’s digital representation remains accurate and dependable.

By contributing to improvements in configuration methods, testing processes and graphical standards, you will play an important part in strengthening the resilience and future capability of our state’s energy control systems.

  • A passion for problem‑solving and accuracy, with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation
  • A positive, can‑do attitude and eagerness to learn in a highly technical environment
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
