About the Opportunity 

 

This is an opportunity for you to join the Network Operations team at Transgrid as a Planning officer to make a significant difference in the clean energy industry.

 

You will be responsible for supporting the operation and growth of Transgrid’s High Voltage Network by facilitating safe access for maintenance, asset replacement and construction work on a wide range of High Voltage Apparatus.   

 

Reporting to the Operations Planning Manager, your key responsibilities include reviewing requests for access to work on the High Voltage Network, reviewing outage and construction plans and the communication and management of outage arrangements with external and internal customers.  

 

About You

  

  • Advanced Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.  
  • Knowledge of high-voltage transmission Networks and the associated equipment, control, protection, communication systems, and auxiliary supply systems. 
  • Experienced with working on and/or the provision of safe access to high or low voltage equipment or mechanical systems for maintenance or construction work. 
  • Strong ability to analyse and apply technical documentation and rules to work processes.  
  • Excellent communication and customer management skills. 
  • Ability to use Windows-based computer applications.
