The Opportunity

Are you ready to lead one of the most critical portfolios in high-voltage transmission maintenance? Transgrid is looking for an experienced and driven Planned Maintenance Delivery Manager to deliver high-impact maintenance programs across our network.

This senior role sits within the Maintenance Programs team and is responsible for delivering Transgrid’s planned maintenance program of works for substation assets. Covering sites across NSW, ACT, and VIC, the role oversees the safe, efficient, and timely execution of routine and condition-based maintenance. You’ll manage a high-volume portfolio worth $8–10M annually, engaging with internal stakeholders and external Delivery Partners to ensure regulatory alignment, risk mitigation, and optimal asset performance. Success in this role requires strategic thinking, operational excellence, and the ability to lead teams and contractors in a dynamic, high-stakes environment.

 

A Day in the Life as our Planned Maintenance Delivery Manager – Substations at Transgrid

  • Lead the delivery of substation maintenance programs, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, on time, and on budget.
  • Oversee contractor and delivery partner engagement, performance, and compliance with WHSE and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical support and ensure maintenance activities align with engineering and asset data requirements.
  • Manage sophisticated relationships with stakeholders across engineering, asset management, and operations.
  • Foster a high-performing, safety-first team culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

 

About You

  • Electrical Engineering qualifications and experience in HV transmission systems maintenance or construction.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale maintenance programs, contractors, and budgets in a regulated environment.
  • Deep knowledge of transmission systems, risk management, and compliance standards.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and commercial decision-making skills.
  • Experience balancing technical and business objectives in complex operational settings.
