Lead Enterprise Asset Management Transformation with IBM Maximo

As a Functional Consultant - Maximo, you will combine hands-on technical expertise with functional consulting to design, configure, and optimise the IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS). About the role: 

 

In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to understand operational requirements and translate them into fit-for-purpose Maximo solutions. You will lead the configuration and enhancement of core Maximo modules, including Enterprise Asset Management, Inventory Management, Workforce Management, and Maximo Mobile, ensuring they align with business needs and industry best practices. 

  

Your responsibilities will span solution design, implementation, system testing, go-live support, integrations, and continuous improvement. You will work with Automation Scripts, Workflows, Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), web services, and BIRT/Cognos reporting to deliver scalable and reliable solutions. 

  

You will also create and deliver training programs, user guides, and adoption strategies, empowering stakeholders to get maximum value from the system. By collaborating across IT, business units, AMS providers, and vendors, you will support upgrades, performance tuning, and operational optimisation, while maintaining compliance and alignment with enterprise standards. 

  

What we are looking for: 

 

  • Proven experience in Maximo functional and technical configuration across EAM, Inventory, Workforce Management, and Mobility. 

  • Strong technical skills including Automation Scripts, Workflows, MIF, SQL/PL-SQL, Python/Jython, BIRT/Cognos, system integrations, and performance optimisation.  

  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex Maximo issues, managing enhancements, and providing advice and support to Level 2 Support Teams. 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Maximo certification is highly desirable. PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
