We are seeking a Delivery Health and Safety Projects Lead to provide senior, strategic health and safety leadership across our Delivery Projects (Class B) portfolio.

 

This role plays a critical part in shaping how safety support is designed, prioritised and delivered across major construction projects. You will set the charter and narrative for safety within Class B, ensuring leaders have clarity on what good safety support looks like and how it enables project outcomes.

 

Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will partner closely with senior project leaders, influence decision-making through insight and data, and ensure safety is embedded from planning through to delivery. This role combines strategic foresight, strong analytical capability, executive engagement and visible field leadership.

 

A Day in the Life

No two days are the same. In this role, you will move between strategic and operational priorities, including:

 

  • Leading and developing a team of Health and Safety Business Partners aligned to projects
  • Partnering with project and delivery leaders on planning, risk and safety performance
  • Analysing safety data and translating insights into clear, actionable narratives
  • Leading and assuring complex incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Spending time in the field supporting teams and delivery partners

 

This role operates in a hybrid environment and requires regular engagement across corporate and site-based settings.

 

About You

You are a confident, credible and forward-thinking HSE leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced project environments. You are comfortable setting direction, influencing senior stakeholders and operating independently across a large and evolving portfolio.

 

You will bring:

  • Extensive health and safety leadership experience within electrical, construction, infrastructure, utilities, or major projects
  • Demonstrated expertise in incident investigation and root cause analysis (ICAM qualified)
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, regulatory frameworks, and contemporary safety practices
  • Highly developed analytical and reporting capability, with the ability to turn data into insight and practical solutions (e.g. Power BI)
  • A collaborative leadership style that develops people
