The Opportunity
In your new role, you'll be responsible for maintaining critical underground electricity transmission assets that support communities and businesses across NSW and the ACT.
Working as part of a highly skilled team, you'll deliver maintenance, inspections, testing and defect rectification activities, contribute to emergency response efforts, and provide technical expertise that supports the reliability of Transgrid's network. You'll also have the opportunity to lead small crews, mentor others and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
The ideal candidate will be a trade-qualified electrical professional with proven experience maintaining, testing and fault-finding underground cable systems, including XLPE and/or oil-filled assets.
About You
- Electrical trade qualification (Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of safe systems of work, including high-risk and confined space activities
- Experience leading small field crews and coordinating work activities in operational environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholders and teams
- Current driver's licence, with willingness to travel and participate in an after-hours standby roster
