As our Asset Portfolio Investment Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role in balancing the investment, performance, and sustainability of our network assets. You’ll oversee both capital and operational programs — ensuring every decision drives value, manages risk, and supports our customers and communities.

In this role, you will
Lead Asset Portfolio Management: Oversee the investment sponsorship and management of prescribed network capital projects and operational works, ensuring alignment with business strategy and optimal asset outcomes.
Strategic Direction & Governance: Provide strategic leadership across the asset lifecycle, including investment prioritisation, risk management, and assurance processes for both Capex and Opex portfolios.
Regulatory & Business Submissions: Prepare and contribute to regulatory submissions, business cases, and board papers, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks and standards.
Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Develop, manage, and optimise annual budgets for asset maintenance and capital investment, tracking performance against forecasts and ensuring value for money.
Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements, data-driven decision-making, and the adoption of new technologies to enhance asset management and reporting.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executive managers, regulators, service providers, and industry partners.
Team Leadership: Inspire, develop, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous development.
You will bring:
- Degree in Engineering, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in infrastructure investment, asset management, and portfolio management ideally within the energy or utilities sector.
- Demonstrated ability to balance technical, commercial, and risk considerations in asset management decisions.
- Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to high-voltage transmission networks (e.g., ISO55001, NEM, AEMO ISP, RIT-T).
- Proven experience leading and developing technical teams, with a track record of driving high performance and cultural change.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong capability in financial modelling, investment analysis, and reporting.
