Development Specialist – Energy Infrastructure & Customer Projects

 

Lumea is seeking a driven and commercially minded Development Specialist to lead customer infrastructure projects from origination through to proposal development, negotiation, and execution. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of Australia’s energy infrastructure sector, supporting customers with innovative network and telecommunications solutions while contributing to the growth of a high-performing development team.

 

About the Role

 

Reporting to the Program Manager you will play a key role in identifying opportunities, managing customer engagement, coordinating proposals, and delivering successful project outcomes aligned with Transgrid/Lumea frameworks and policies.

 

You’ll work closely with internal technical teams, suppliers, and customers to develop high-quality proposals, manage stakeholder relationships, and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities through Salesforce.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead customer proposals from initial opportunity through to delivery, including network connections and modifications
  • Build and grow customer relationships to identify new business and additional scope opportunities
  • Manage proposal timelines, pricing, budgets, contracts, and bid documentation to ensure successful submissions
  • Coordinate internal teams, technical experts, and suppliers to deliver accurate, customer-focused solutions
  • Translate complex technical information into clear commercial proposals and promote infrastructure capabilities
  • Maintain strong stakeholder engagement, accurate Salesforce reporting, and contribute to process improvement and team collaboration

Skills & Experience

 

  • Degree qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience within infrastructure services, energy, utilities, telecommunications, or related sectors
  • Strong proposal, bid coordination, and customer engagement capability
  • Strong time management and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and build long-term customer relationships
